When people travel they limit their experiences because of physical and cultural barriers. Google and yelp can’t compare to the recommendations of a local. What if Airbnb shattered those barriers by providing a platform where travelers can hear the best ways to experience a city from a local.

Airbnb// VOICE OF THE CITY

Voice of the City will be a new feature that will be exclusive to people traveling with airbnb.

Using Geolocation, travelers can organically find experiences vetted by hosts.

Users will be able to opt in to push notifications or a hands free narrated option for a seamless experience.

Past notifications will be available to view in your Inbox.

Guests also have access to Airbnb Maps as they navigate through their destination.

Inspired by the airbnb iconic logo that represents people, places, love, and the A for airbnb we created a logo for Voice of the City that captures the essences of their iconic logo by adding a hint at headphones and keeping the a for audio.

We collaborated with Beats to promote Voice of the City.

Anytime you enter a home that is participating with Voice of the City you will have headphones waiting for you in case you forgot your own.

Airbnb has also added a way for you to create digital postcards to share with your loved ones with the Voice of the City feature in the app.

Simply take a picture and record a voice note letting people know what you love about your city and send via email or text.

Select postcard submissions will be used to create print ads featuring real recommendations.
